Beneficiaries

The programme is addressed to existing businesses – small and very small, medium, large and very large – operating in the Greek Territory, in eligible Activity Codes (ACNs) from the sectors of trade, services, catering, bakery and confectionery production, as well as tourism, with a Greek VAT number and active at the date of submission of the application for participation. In particular, for tourism enterprises, those which, according to the operating licence or the notification submitted, have a capacity of not more than 200 beds are eligible to participate.

Interested businesses will be able to submit a single application for funding per VAT number. For inclusion in the programme, the submission of an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is required.

Enhancement

The exact amount of the aid will be determined taking into account the aid rate and the maximum budget of eligible costs.

The rate of aid for all eligible expenditure reaches up to 65%, depending on the type of intervention (buildings and non-building installations) and the size of the enterprise.

Accordingly, the following applies to the subsidised budget (public expenditure and private participation, excluding VAT) of each investment proposal of a potential beneficiary of aid:

  • may not exceed the amount of EUR 500 000 for the tourism sector.
  • may not exceed the amount of EUR 250 000 for other sectors

Eligible expenditure

  • energy upgrading of the building envelope, such as thermal insulation, installation of shading systems,
  • energy upgrade of the lighting system, from new LED technology, installation of automation to reduce consumption due to absence/presence of users,
  • energy savings in space heating systems, such as replacing boilers with heat pumps,
  • energy savings in space cooling systems, such as replacement of air conditioners,
  • energy savings in ventilation systems,
  • energy savings in domestic hot water systems,
  • installation of Renewable Energy Sources systems, such as solar thermal systems,
  • installation of a compensation system,
  • installation of automation, control and management systems at local and central level,
  • replacement of energy-intensive equipment related to the production process of the services provided (e.g. ovens, refrigerators, hot water)

Ineligible expenditure

  • VAT is not eligible
  • Maintenance costs
  • Repair costs of equipment already used by the enterprise

Photovoltaics on roofs up to 6 kW

Applications for the new “Photovoltaics on Roofs” programme have started!

The “Photovoltaics on Roofs” programme is an energy and economic offset for systems up to 6 kWp.

In response to the continuous increases in electricity, oil and petrol prices, the new special programme for the installation of photovoltaic systems on the roofs of domestic consumers, aimed at all households, has been launched. without any inclusion criteria, with a limit of 6 kWp for the Interconnected System and Crete and 3 kWp for the Non-Interconnected Islands.

The offsetting contract signed with the installation of the photovoltaic system has a 20-year duration and a price of 87 € / megawatt hour.

Energy offsetting means the offsetting of the energy entering the grid from a generating station with the energy absorbed at the self-producer’s consumption facility. It refers to a generating station installed on the same or adjacent site as the consumption installation, which is connected to the distribution network through the same supply. In energy offsetting, the energy produced does not necessarily have to be synchronised with the energy consumed.

The price increases combined with the reduction in the cost of installing photovoltaic systems makes this project even more attractive to the consumer’s pocket.

Photovoltaic Project Pv Roof

Subject and Objective of the Action

The “Photovoltaic Roof” Programme subsidises households for the installation of PV systems with storage system and farmers for the installation of PV systems with storage system for self-consumption.The Programme aims at installing self-consumption PV power plants in combination with battery systems, which contribute to energy saving, to the aim of bringing the building stock to near-zero energy consumption standards by 2050, and to lower living costs.

Categories of Beneficiaries

Natural persons (households) and farmers (professional farmers or farmers with special status) who have already concluded a relevant Connection Contract with the DEDDIE are entitled to participate in the Programme.A prerequisite and condition for the inclusion of the photovoltaic system and the storage system (if it exists) in the Programme is the absence of public support from any other funding programme.

Application requirements

An application is submitted by the natural person (households) or the farmer who is identified as a contractor of the BPA in the Connection Contract, which has already been concluded with the BPA for the development of the photovoltaic plant and storage system in question. To apply, a beneficiary should:

  • has a mandatory Tax Identification Number, as well as valid access codes to the electronic services of AADE, through which his/her identification is made,
  • In the case of natural persons (households), other than Category A, to have submitted an income tax return (E1) during the tax year 2021, either as an individual or joint return SUBJECT, or indirectly as a “SPOUSE/MUSBAND”.[1]” in the case of a joint declaration. The relevant declaration must have been cleared.
  • In the case of farmers, they must be registered in the Register of Farmers and Agricultural Holdings.

Photovoltaic stations

The maximum eligible installed capacity of photovoltaic systems per installation under the Programme to be funded is set at 10.8kW.

Storage systems

The maximum eligible storage system capacity per installation under the Programme is set at 10.8kWh.

Operation of a photovoltaic station with storage system

During the operation of the system (PV with battery), the energy produced by the PV station is primarily channelled to the beneficiary’s consumption. Any excess generation is channelled to the storage system until it is filled and only when this is done, the available energy of the PV can be injected into the grid.
