ExoEconomo 2025 , is just around the corner as the application deadline is 13/12/2024 to 20/03/2025.
The most important change compared to the previous programmes , is that priority is given to the areas of the country with the lowest temperatures, where the need for energy upgrading of housing is essential. For this reason, applications will now be assessed on the basis of heating scores.
The subsidy rate of the beneficiaries -which starts from 50% and in some cases covers even 100% of the investment cost- depends on the income category they belong to and their inclusion in one of the special categories that include the victims of natural disasters in the regions of Thessaly and the earthquake victims of Arkalochori, Crete, families with disabled members, and families with four children.
Eligible to participate in the program are natural persons who have a right in rem (usufruct / full or fractional ownership) in an eligible residence, or tenants of a contract that has a remaining lease term of at least 7 years .
Integration criteria :
- It exists legally
- It has not been declared demolishable
- Used as a main residence
- It has an energy efficiency certificate ( A PEA) , lower or equal to C.
The categories of beneficiaries are the following:
I) For Individual Income (€) ≤5.000 or Family Income (€) ≤10.000

Eligible interventions :
- Replacement of frames
- Installation / upgrade of thermal insulation
- Heating/cooling system upgrade ( installation or replacement of existing heating system with heat pump or biomass system )
- Domestic hot water systems: In this category, a heat pump for the production of DHW, a solar thermal system for the supply of DHW or to assist the main heating system are eligible
- Other savings interventions ( smart home)
Engineering costs
Up to 100% subsidized by the program the cost of conducting the two energy inspections, the Electronic Building Identity, the fee of the Technical Consultant and fees for any permits or studies, such as the small-scale permit.
